I watched Haunting of Hill House and it's pretty fucking righteous. Shirley Jackson's writing is great and I think they treat her right. I'm sure season 2 forward will be atrocious, but season 1 is worth the watch.

The only Black Mirror episode I watched was the Star Trek one and that was neat. I've heard really bad things about the interactive one though.

edit: Still need to see Spider-verse. We actually saw Mary Poppins the other night and that was probably one of my favorite movies from this year.

The Star Trek one was really cool, one of the better ones since Netflix took it over. I'm trying to avoid looking up anything about the movie because I keep seeing potential spoilers.

I love picking and choosing episodes of Black Mirror. I've never watched like 75% of the series at this point so I just pick one that sounds interesting and buckle up. Bandersnatch was great.

But all you community or rick and morty loving fucks need to check out Harmonquest. They play a D&D type game and then animate everything and it's fucking hilarious. It's survived the death of two streaming platforms its so good and the third season has already been taped and is being animated.

Yea harmontquest is really good, the guests make it especially good.

Been rewatching the office with the lady friend. Honestly, some of the most amusing parts to me are the dated references that no longer make sense in 2019. Pagers, blackberries, Netflix (DVDs by mail), Lazy Sunday parody, etc. Kind of funny that it's not twenty years old but so much seems alien.

Bandersnatch was a wild ride that had me super excited at times but ultimately left me disappointed and unfulfilled (insert sex joke here)

I had a lot of fun with Bandersnatch, and ultimately really liked it.

I think the thing of it, is that your ultimate opinion sort of hinges on your first consecutive run through. I went back and played through to a lot of different endings, but ultimately the one I got on the first time was my favorite, and it was super fun to find my way to it with zero expectations.

Even then though, I think they do a really cool job of playing on a common theme across all the story lines, that even sort of gains something after you've played out different conclusions.

Spiderverse is probably my favorite superhero film, up there with Days of Future Past and Thor: Ragnarok.

Just stopping by to say that I gave the Orville another shot per Chuck's recommendation, and it's pretty dope.

I think it got marketed really shitily as like "Seth McFarlane's hilarious new Family Guy Trek!", when in reality, it's a pretty straight forward love letter to Star Trek and the Twilight Zone, with like, a jigger of dumb Apatowy sense of humor.

Yeah, I love it and it fills that star trek void in my heart so well that I completely forgot that Discovery was a thing.

Also I downloaded Pete and Pete. Still holds up.

I'm going through NewsRadio just now, courtesy of a comment deep down in some Reddit thread. It holds up really well, strange how I've never heard about it anywhere else.

I'm reasonably certain this forum went through a NewsRadio phase.

Maybe it was just me and Steve.
