alright, well this song has sick vocal harmonies. I don't know Balance & Composure, but I dig the imagery this band goes for. It reminds me of Alice and Chains kinda (not musically, though).

But yeah, Creed was post-grunge. So this is neo-grunge, or grunge-revival. They definitely sound like a band that could be on the radio.

It's funny though, cause this band used to sound like Four Year Strong lolol

So I hosted a party the other night, and as I was leaving this party, completely inebriated I may add, this girl whisks me away against my will. She tells me to get into her car and she drives me to meet up with my brother with whom I was originally supposed to ride home with.

She then proceeds to ask my consent to kiss me. Of course, I said yes.

So the next day I think about it. What if this girl was totally not cute or anything, and I kissed her anyways... but later on I 'regretted' it.

Though it was only kiss, would this be considered rape? I mean, I consented but I was no way near my right state of mind. Which remind me of..

This other time I was at a party and I was in the process of passing out on the couch when this girl came up and sat next to me. SHE THEN proceeded to feel me up. I was faded, couch-locked, so all I could do was laugh. The problem was, was that I definitely didn't like it. It was not right. If you all need to know, she wasn't hot. Eventually I broke free from her grasp and jet streamed from the party, but it took a lot of will power to do so on account of being wasted out of my brains.

So I posted the first story on The Defend Pop Punk group on Facebook and got some response from guys wishing they were in my scenario. Then this girl said, "dude it's just a kiss it's not like she got you drunk and then fucked you with drunk consent"

so I decided to make a point:

So which lead me to write this next part up, but then the thread got deleted. So people claim my opinion to be 'blaming the victim' and to be 'rape apology'. I don't see it that way. At least, can you guys help me with my logic and point where it can be received that way?

P.S. pardon my writing style, I know it annoys you guys and I'm sorry.

QUOTE
Yeah, so I believe there is a flaw in the logic people approach rape cases with; or maybe not so much the logic, as so much as they are missing the point in alerting other people of RAPE.

If you're entering a zone where the probability of rape increases exponentially, like at a grimy party or club, then you should be on your shit AND BE worried of potential consequences.

I think rape definitely can be the product of an environmental hazard. Some people argue and say that's putting the blame on the victim... but NO, that's not the case.

The goal is not to point fingers at the victim or the rapist, but alleviate the entire happening by being AWARE.

What's worse, getting raped, or not getting raped? What would you rather happen? Be realistic. If you're losing your awareness AND putting yourself in a shady environment, then you're setting the odds against yourself.

I think the argument that "OH, I SHOULDn'T HAVE TO LIVE MY LIFE IN FEAR"...

uh, yeah you do, because it's YOUR LIFE and YOU'RE in control of it.

So yes, the rapist WILL ALWAYS BE AT FAULT. A drunk driver can blame killing someone on the alcohol ALL he wants, but in the end that person is dead and he is at fault...

but that doesn't change the fact that the other guy is DEAD.

Just like victim can't take back getting raped.

and you know what, I BET there's a higher probability of getting raped compared to getting killed by a drunk driver...

so with that said, which one is more avoidable?

Am I afraid of getting a girl pregnant? Then the best way to prevent that from happening is to not have sex at all.

I'm sorry, but if you want to get drunk and dance AND NOT WORRY ABOUT GETTING RAPED, then do it in the safety of your own home.

We are animals, creatures, and when RAPE DOES HAPPEN, there are no laws of man to prevent the action from happening.

SO, with all that said, to prevent rape is to be proactive in reducing your chances of getting raped.

Right, cause you can't help someone forcing them self on you? So don't be there when that person comes around.

Now, this is not blaming the victim. This is blaming the IDEA of rape. Rape happens. Rape is a synonym of stealing. Things get taken. The way you prevent your things from being taken is by locking them up. BY PREVENTION.

I don't condone the idea of rape, but apparently us men, according to what people say, have been taught that rape is ok and so it's been ingrained in our culture (I remember playing Halo 2 when I was 12 and calling shit like "RAPE NADE" and "GET RAPED" at fragging).

I feel like my idea of rape being an environmental hazard as a true thing and I believe people truly should be aware of their surroundings at all times because the world is unrelenting, and you never truly know what lurks behind every corner.

P.P.S.

So with all things said, being taken advantage of by those girls was totally my fault and could have been avoided (though, I'm glad story #1 happened because she is legit cute and sweet).

...Should the attempt fail, the rods could be exposed to air and catch fire, releasing horrific quantities of radiation into the atmosphere. The pool could come crashing to the ground, dumping the rods together into a pile that could fission and possibly explode. The resulting radioactive cloud would threaten the health and safety of all us.

Chernobyl’s first 1986 fallout reached California within ten days. Fukushima’s in 2011 arrived in less than a week. A new fuel fire at Unit 4 would pour out a continuous stream of lethal radioactive poisons for centuries.

Former Ambassador Mitsuhei Murata says full-scale releases from Fukushima “would destroy the world environment and our civilization. This is not rocket science, nor does it connect to the pugilistic debate over nuclear power plants. This is an issue of human survival.”

Neither Tokyo Electric nor the government of Japan can go this alone. There is no excuse for deploying anything less than a coordinated team of the planet’s best scientists and engineers...

Yes, if you could see the future THEN YOU COULD SEE THE FUTURE HOW FUCKING PROFOUND.

My belief is that Intuition has something to do with the collective unconscious of the universe and the world, and I believe that clairvoyancy is a real thing.

I believe human beings, both our mind and body, are like Personal Computers; and I believe there exists the Collective Unconscious, or a higher level of consciousness that one can hook themselves up to and retrieve information much like the Internet (but for the human mind).

but my point is, is that I don't really care for what you have to say. You're rude and you don't add anything productive to the conversation other than the fact that you're trying to force YOUR OWN beliefs on me, and I really just don't want to read it at this point.

You're a nasty, handsomeal individual in my eyes and I don't appreciate you trying to undermine my own beliefs.

So you can go fuck off mr smartypants with your science-specific mumbo jumbo:

So I recently decided to go balls deep and pursue a science degree. This means that I'm just working on a lot of the prerequisites for the required classes to obtain the degree.

In order for me to take Calculus, I need to take Pre-calc and Trig.

My question is, do y'all think it's too much of a work load to take both of these classes in the same semester? I'm just afraid of getting confused when it comes down to finals and tests because of potential overlap.

Also, anything general math discussion is bad ass too!
