I like the implication that he'd prefer to play Starcraft on a console.

AND WE ALL KNOW HOW THAT TURNED OUT

Also, while European women aren't usually fat, most smoke, which is a huge turnoff for me personally. But really, what the fuck...it's just a one night stand anyways, so who cares at that point.

Starcraft or Starcraft on a console?

Because that's a very large difference between one of the best things ever and one of the worst things ever.

Axiom Verge was sweet. I think I only like Metroidvania games now. Oh, so I really need some good suggestions. What are some really good co-op or competitive local 2 player games?

i don't know if you're just looking for metroidvania style games, but if you're just looking to have some fun my gf and i picked up this game called overcooked. it's way more fun than it has any right to be. it's a co-op... sort of puzzle game i guess? you each control a chef in overhead view setting and have to work together to cook meals for customers. so like one person might have to go get some beef, hand it off to the other person who chops it, who hands it back to the first person to cook it, who hands it back to the other person who puts it on a bun. repeat with lettuce and tomato and send out the burger.

except the whole time you're maybe on floating platforms in a river of lava with fireballs shooting at you, or you're in a haunted mansion where the frying pans fly away sometimes.

it's just a fun game to play and laugh at.

I've been replaying the Splinter Cell games, on the 3rd one now and they've all aged pretty well. Also been playing Stellaris. Takes a while to get rolling but it's pretty fun.

I've been making a push to work through my back catalog of half-finished single player games. I knocked out the campaign of Assassin's Creed Syndicate, and got about halfway through collecting all the random inane shit that you collect just to collect

before I literally just set my controller down in front of me in the middle of it, thought to myself "Why am I doing this? I don't care about any of this" and turned it off.

Man, that was some REALLY pointless stuff that needed a lot of mindless grinding to collect.

Anyway now I'm finishing watch_dogs, as disappointing as that game was for the hype, i forgot how fun it actually is. The multiplayer aspect is a cool idea but pretty much just a mess, but the single player campaign is fun.

I just picked up Arkham City and Arkham Knight on sale on steam cause I only ever played Asylum. But I've been playing a lot of PUBG. New Hearthstone expansion just came out so I'll probably be playing that a lot more. Also Overwatch. I have too much shit to play and not enough time.

Played through half of Sonic Mania last night. It's everything I could have hoped for. Feels like the Saturn follow-up we never got.

arkham city is one of the best video games ever made. the combat system has been co-opted by half a dozen franchises so it might get a little "seinfeld isn't funny" but it's still a great game.

alex if you liked watch_dogs at all you should check out watch_dogs 2, it improves just about everything from watch dogs 1 and has less dark of a story and more of "cool guy with a screen for a face."

I recently finished Horizon Zero Dawn, was fucking dope, going to pre-order the DLC out of good faith, I wish they'd announce a release date so I can time when I start my Newgame+ on ultra difficulty.

Finally got round to playing Portal 2 recently and now I'm sad because I have no more Portal to play. I picked up Silent Hill 2 from the charity shop I'm volunteering at just now and it seems pretty good. I can't afford any of the current consoles just now but it's cool that there's always gonna be pretty much unlimited old games I can play for cheap/free.

oh cool, i will if/when it goes on sale. i hadn't paid much attention to it because most of the early reviews i heard said it was basically just more of the same, but i'll give it a shot

I completed Project Horizon: Zero Dawn recently. It's like Sony watched the debut of Breath of the Wild a few years ago and were like, "We can do this too and this time Link will be a girl." I really enjoyed all the elements that reminded me of Breath of the Wild, but Zero Dawn was better in a lot of ways too, especially the more involved story telling. Also, the game just looks amazing all the time.
