That's the one I said is coming after 350 days. I'm done with it, they just need to finish the editing, which got put on hold to finish three fifty. After three fifty is released they'll get back to it, it's definitely still coming out.

Okay so yeah. 350 Days will be coming to a theater near you (probably) on July 12th for one night. I think they said a couple hundred theaters, so probably most major cities-- I'll have a list when they get a list. No word yet on where it'll go after that, I believe they're going to use that night to decide where to distribute for home viewing.

It's a documentary with interviews and stories from professional wrestlers in the 70's and 80's about the 350 days (or more) a year a professional wrestler had to be on the road. I was cinematographer for several interviews and events for this movie, basically anything that was in the northeast area (none of the south or west coast stuff).

Fun fact: I am credited in this movie as Alex Graves. No one knows why. It may or may not be fixed by the time it gets released! But probably will be.

After that, another movie with this company, that I directed, will be finished and released, and I'll tell you more about that when I can. They basically put everything else on hold to get 350 days ready for theatrical release, and then they'll go back to the other movie. I haven't seen a cut of 350 days yet (maybe this weekend) but everyone who has seen it has had high praise. So if that's your kind of thing, you won't be disappointed, and if it's not your kind of thing you might enjoy it anyway. There are definitely some good stories and insight in there.

Yeah lost in space hits this weird spot where it's not really good enough to keep me actively engaged and sit down and just watch it

But it's not bad enough for me to put on as background TV either

So funny enough I just got a call about this and I'll have some news about it next Friday. Granted, the news is probably going to be "They're still working on it and it'll be done when it's done" but there ya go.

The one before it is very nearly finished with a theatrical release date for... sometime in July I think. The 12th maybe. I just shot a few scenes as a camera operator for that one though.

The scriptwriter only owns the rights to their script if... they owned it. If someone were to write a Spider-Man script say as a fan film, they wouldn't own that in any way shape or form because they never had permission to use Spider-Man. Now they might get away with producing their fan film and putting it on youtube if Sony/Marvel didn't care enough to shut it down, but they'd have 0 chance of suing Sony/Marvel for making another Spider-Man film, even if Sony/Marvel stumbled their way into making something similar to the fan film.

That's not to say there might not be other copyrightable elements, but like I said, the only other thing there is the concept of geocaching on your phone, and you can't copyright a concept (it would be patent), and sellout probably wouldn't be able to claim any rights to digital geocaching anyway as I'm sure that's already been done. Simply combining geocaching with a property isn't enough for any kind of intellectual property protection, and if it was it wouldn't apply to sellout anyway since he doesn't own the property.

If he had been the first person to combine geocaching with ARG on your phone with collectible monsters? I dunno man, maybe there's something patentable there but probably not, he's probably not even the first person to do it.

There's not really any... like... story elements or anything with the game, so nothing to copyright there, and even if there was I think (but I'm not sure) that his claim to a copyright would be void since it was a derivative work of property he didn't have permission to use.

When sellout started this, it was a cool idea for a fan game that probably would have flown under the radar of nintendo unless it got too big. Now, it would almost certainly be immediately shut down if he tries to do it. Bummer, I know... but if he just changes it to non-owned properties, he could probably still go ahead with it.

I'm just making sure you're asking whether or not he can claim intellectual theft on the intellectual property he used that was owned by someone else, or some other aspect. So it's relevant, because if you are talking about a claim against intellectual property that he never had permission to use, then no he would have no claim. If you're talking about, like, the concept of digital geocaching or something, then I'm still willing to bet no he would have no claim, but it would be more of a discussion I guess.

I don't know how much I can say, but my part in it is done, besides maybe some eventual promotion and maaaaaybe some reshoots/additional footage if that comes up. The production company has another big release in the pipeline before this, last I heard that one was done and ready to be viewed before christmas and we've just been playing phone tag since, so I'm not absolutely sure what's going on.

But it's not dead, it's just... taking a while.

Oh also funny enough, I picked up saying y'all while I was waiting tables too, because it made me seem more folksy I guess, and relatable. That wasn't the south though, but Indiana is basically the south, it's just that no one ever told them they weren't.

I've played this game a few times now. I do not particularly care for it.

Also, they made a Batman version.

That almost made me care for it.

Finally had the opportunity to see Black Panther. Really enjoyed it. Lots of cool stuff, maybe the worst anyone can say about it is that it's a bit predictable, but that's gotta be expected. Boseman really did a great job and they made Black Panther really cool in his own right, not just "The black guy in marvel comics who isn't luke cage"

Also got to see wonder woman since it hit hbo, it was alright. Didn't think it was great, didn't think it was very bad, probably the best of the current DC movie universe. I haven't seen justice league, though I suspect it won't top wonder woman. Chris Pine is so weird to watch, because at any given time it'll feel like he's totally phoning it in and doesn't care at all, then the very next scene he'll knock it out of the park.

Dexter started off really, really strong and I loved it. Then it kind of went downhill around season 3 or 4, and I lost interest. I heard it got better when Lithgow shows up, then ends REALLY shitty.

It's really hard for me to get interested in a show that I know has a bad ending.

That said though, all the behind the scenes shit, the switching of directors, reshoots, lack of marketing and release date changes, all that has me pretty wary. But I hope Ron Howard knows how to handle it.

I really don't get the hate. It looks like fun. I mean I understand all the arguments against it and what not but... I guess I just don't think the character is sacred or anything. If it ends up being a bad movie, oh well. It'll go along with those Watchmen prequels into the forgotten zone and eh, no big deal. If it ends up being a cool movie, then cool.

And I don't take that as a hardline stance. Dark Knight Rises definitely dented Dark Knight for me, so I understand the feeling. But I'm optimistic about Solo. Yeah, I think it'll be fun.

Wow so yeah they're all sold out of black panther tickets. Maybe next week!

I, Tonya was the best movie about Tonya harding that could be made. The acting is fantastic and it's entertaining. That said, there are better movies.

Okay I KNOW you fuckers watched Black Panther

Going tomorrow, if tickets aren't sold out. There's an Alamo Drafthouse in walking distance that does all ages Tuesday matinees, and Molly has the day off, so we're taking the little dude.

Now that my movie pass has been working and the weather's been nice, I've actually been taking him every Tuesday. It's great. We saw Coco and I, Tonya. And now Black Panther. I think there's a new tomb raider coming out after that, so I guess we'll see it but I'm not expecting much. Same with with Wrinkle in Time. And then Ready Player One!

I know nothing about this or anything that's going on

but another reasonable explanation for cc companies banning buying crypto is

too many people are doing it and they suspect it's going to tank and no one's going to be able to pay off their debt
