I figured we needed an official Netflix Instant Streaming thread. Post recommendations for films and TV shows that are available that you think people should know about (even if it sucks and its just something to laugh at)

Just watched:

This Film Is Not Yet Rated - A good doc. that covers the MPAA, which as it turns out, is a super secret organization that is in the pockets of all the major studios. Shocking, I know. Several directors who have had their films cut or rated NC-17 are featured. A great scene is when they show all these sex scenes side-by-side. One side is gay sex (NC-17). The other is straight sex (rated R). What makes this scene so amazing is the scenes they show portray the actors in the essentially the same positions, showing the same emotion, showing the same actions.

Black Dynamite - Amazing Blaxploitation parody movie. Highly recommended.

Favorite gag: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_BUnNfDCVWk

And lastly, to start this thread off, here's a decent site to keep track of streaming movies. It's called Feedfliks. It shows recently added to streaming movies, ones about to expire, etc.

http://feedfliks.com/streaming

Scream just expired or is expiring in the next few hours.

Anyway, I watch a lot of King Of The Hill. I feel like the same stuff mentioned in the other threads may just be mentioned here. Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs and Up for animated movies. Dexter. Louis C.K.: Chewed Up (FUCKING HILARIOUS STAND UP) World's Greatest Dad.

SIDE TOPIC:
I always want to ask what are good things to watch on instant view while drinking. Lots of violence and/or comedy and little thinking. But feel like it's too dumb to make a topic about. So..... yea. Recommendations for that will work too.

Whatever Works-interesting
Michael Moore Hates America-meh
Capitalism A Love Story-typical Michael Moore
50 Worst Movies Ever Made-interesting
Momento-awesome
Beer Wars-interesting
Killer at Large-interesting
Wal-Mart: The high cost of low prices-kind of boring
Megashark vs Giant Octopus- so bad that it's funny

Megashark vs Giant Octopus

The last time I hung with Idle and he WASN'T being bribed to convince me to accept a blowjob from his friend, we watched this movie.

Anyway, Strangers With Candy is on Instant Viewing now. The TV show, not the movie. The movie shat.

I watched that on a first date. Made for a really somber first date.

I'm watching Louis C.K. right now because it was listed and I love him. I have been watching the 2nd season of Dexter. I have to wait for the discs for season 3 and 4 to come through because they're not watch instantly.

Is Upright Citizens Brigade something I can start on Season 2? Because Season 1 isn't on Instant View. And should I also watch Upright Citizens Brigade: ASSSSCAT ?

Yes and yes. Watching UCB out of order is like watching SNL out of order. Doesn't matter at all. And ASSSSCAT is great if you like improv comedy.

Louis C.K. also has a Comedy Central Presents episode. Which they have 200 of those on Instant View. So you could probably find it.

Also, Eddie Izzard - Dress To Kill. He makes a lot of history jokes though. I don't know if everyone would like that or not. And Jim Gaffigan - Beyond The Pale.

I don't think I've never seen David Cross - Let America Laugh but it's on instant view. And he is usually pretty funny.

OH. And Richard Pryor - Live On The Sunset Strip. Those are all on Instant View.

The Comedians of Comedy is a documentary based around a tour with Patton Oswalt, Brian Posehn, Zach Galifianakis, and my favorite of the four Maria Bamford. Take my word, it is very good, very interesting, and very funny. And it's on instant view.

Overall, this is a good view. It introduced me to Zach Galifianakis back in the day when I saw it on Comedy Central. He has several memorable bits in this movie (Physical comedy, the first time we see him on screen, his old timey comedian, etc.) I am forever thankful to this for introducing me to Fat Jesus.

Zach Galifianakis's standup is fantastic. Actually, everyone on the Comedians of Comedy tour is hysterical. That documentary is just great. Also, I remember finding and watching a video of the skit-thing that "made Zach leave the tour", but now I can't find it. It had something to do with masturbation and a lot of mayonnaise.

yayyyy.

I watched the first Die Hard today (the first three are available right now). It's just one of those "classics" that I never saw. Don't think it's "the best action movie ever" as I've seen it dubbed in several places, but I enjoyed it enough to eventually check out the 2nd one and go from there. I've gotta watch a bunch of action movies to prepare for The Expendables in August.

My favorite bit was the 2 guns taped to his back at the end. Awesome trick, yo.

The Die Hard movies are so badass. Easily one of the most consistently solid action trilogies. I haven't seen the new one, so that doesn't count.

It's got Ramona Flowers in it, so it may be worth checking out on a superficial level at least.
