What's even the process for finding new music these days? I drift around on youtube and spotify sometimes but that's it. Is it purely word of mouth?

for actual new music i just look at bands who are touring and check out their opening acts or whoever they are opening for. occasionally ill throw a band camp keyword search.

most of the music im looking for these days came out in the 80's so its just google bands names plus .rar and see if anything shows up.

Spotify playlists and opening acts, mostly. For a while it was mostly from here but we suck now.

Talib Kweli's new album "Radio Silence" is so. fucking. good. Also still bumping Tyler the Creator's "Flower Boy" and Open Mike Eagle's "Brick Body Kids Still Daydream" from earlier this year.

What exactly did he do? The apology just sounds like he had sex with fans which isn't bad in itself.

I cannot find an answer to this.

I think that guy just wrote an apology for anything and everything he could have ever done wrong.

EDIT: No segue, this live album is really good.

I've reached the conclusion now that that's not ever appropriate—even if they initiate it.

Oh shit, guess my band needs to cancel its upcoming tour because I banged a girl in the back of the van after a gig one time.

k so you start a band so you can get girls to find you attractive, generally considered acceptable by society even now a days. BUT.

if you act on that attraction, you're using a power dynamic to your advantage, which constitutes sexual assault or harassment etc

unwritten rule would be: "you have to ask for consent, but if you ask for consent, you can't have a power dynamic over the other person in any fashion."

hmm... doesn't sound so unreasonable written out like that.
