Yeah, I mean, even with my meager investment, I'm still up.

Guy I went to college with has become a crypto "consultant". I put consultant in quotes because I don't think he does much more than try to hype bitcoin up. A week before it crashed he predicted it would be $70k by Dec. 12, 2018. Today he posted that the reason you should be interested in bitcoin and cryptocurrency is because the government is against it. I wanted to point out that the government is also against pedophilia and child abuse but you really shouldn't be interested in those.

FAKE EDIT: Just realized that the government isn't really against bitcoin so the premise is as busted as the logic.

So bitcoin prices finally dropped way back down to like $10K, which I've actually been pretty excited for. I'm totally gonna put in a decent investment when it drops to the lowest its gonna get, because its gonna jump again.

Just saw this. I've been following Bitcoin for a few years now as well as Ethereum since they started. Had a friend mine at $7 and sell at $40, made a couple of grand off of that. It's hard to tell when it's going to tank or shoot up. Met a kid over break in Chicago who made about $50k last year buying and selling Alt coins. ETH and BTC are safer, but you don't get the same ROI. This kid would sell once he got to 4x and not look back, just for new coins to. Invest in. Granted, he was living like a day trader when most of his free time would go into buying and selling.

I'm currently interviewing for a job at a large Ethereum company. Hoping to learn more about the space and potentially ICO sometime in 2019.

I mean, it is a gamble. It's a gamble with 80 dollars, that I'm interesting in watching. I didn't think it was a bad idea then and I still don't.

We all know its inevitably gonna go right back up, and with the extra measures being taken to shut down crypto (such as credit card companies banning the purchase of bitcoin) really goes to show that its worthy competition to the dollar, or rather, the dollar is showing how intimidated it is. At less than $8K right now, I started at $6K and I've been waiting for the price to drop lower than when I started since November, when I started while the upward swing was already in effect.

No matter what happens, I believe everyone here should own at least $5 of bitcoin, and if $5 isn't out of your budget (we're adults so I hope we're all doing at least somewhat financially decent) you should try it soon.

I know nothing about this or anything that's going on

but another reasonable explanation for cc companies banning buying crypto is

too many people are doing it and they suspect it's going to tank and no one's going to be able to pay off their debt

Also, while European women aren't usually fat, most smoke, which is a huge turnoff for me personally. But really, what the fuck...it's just a one night stand anyways, so who cares at that point.
