I honestly don't see a difference...? Income's only worth is relative to someone else's income. Otherwise it's just paper.

The difference I see there is when the amount of profit is the same, but that is being disproportionately paid to executives instead of worker bees. Not saying all corporations are evil, but some are. And then there's the argument of whether small businesses can afford higher minimums. Economics. \_(ツ)_/

Wait. Shit. My brain just completely glossed over the words in that post not "cassette". I have Rules of the Game. I think there was a thread involving Gimp tape art though. And when my search fails, maybe Dondles can rescue us...

edit: Only found another post of myself talking about posting a picture of it. lol

Also looking for the Gimp cassette, but they pop up on eBay more often than ACTA.

Ha. I actually have a photocopied version of this I got in an eBay auction like 10 years ago. Still probably not willing to part with it.

It's at least worth something to me that they didn't try to fool the masses by having some other dude throw on his skimask for the tour.

I once almost, very nearly figured out all the words to Over Again and learned how to play that song with my brother.

So.....dibs?

100% my thought.

I read that and went "oh yeah I'll totally throw some money at a cause to support one of my favorite bands!" and then I remembered "shit...what am I even going to do with a Streetlight tshirt?"

Nah, brah. We can finally buy all those physical releases we didn't buy for years. I mean, that's what we were all doing, right?

Also, Toh Kay shirts for all your child-age relatives. Adorable.

Can we talk more about this? I took a database class last semester but we didn't cover onions. Can I query in layers? Can we bread, deepfry and do a sort of Oracluster onion?

Actually, I think that sounds like a more accessible Hard Girls. Which is alright.

I'm going to give this a relisten and give a really in depth review. But also, this album rules. And not even just because of birdhouse in my soul.

This thread got weird.

It's a weird reversal of things, because things that my parents have been saying for years ("we need a president that will make people respect America", "I don't think that he even likes America or wants to improve it", that stuff) are now actual concerns I have. I'm really not all that terribly worried about policy stuff. It'll be business as usual with lobbying and inequal application of tax breaks for big corps but some fun isolationism thrown in there that hurts more. I'm not even sure anything meaningful will happen on a civil-rights front (aside from NSA/shadowy government secret spying which has been growing pretty consistently since 2001, and Obama didn't do anything to slow down). Mostly, it's breaks my spirit that America has some ideals that are just too important and even if our leader is ideologically run of the mill they're not a fucking joke of a person.

tl;dr I'm just vapidly concerned with whether the US looks fat in this in the dressing room mirror, I guess.

Nah, you're right. It was top of your album of the list thread post and I'm sure I've ignored (not that I've wanted to) links you've posted over the course of the year.

So good, though? Right? Aphasia puts me in my happy place.

Dude. The combination of a stressful workweek and grants being still pending for next semester and that fucking Trump press conference on in the break room today had me nearly in a panic attack. It's not gonna be an easy 4 years.

Hey. How come no one here told me to listen to Pinegrove? I had to wait until USA Today or some shit recommended it. But Cardinal fucking rocks.

I think Love, Ire and Song will always be my favorite Turner, but as far as best album Tape Deck Heart I think is a beautiful piece of music that does a lot of unexpected things. It's also one hell of a breakup album, but in the depressing way that you shouldn't listen to it after a breakup because it will shrivel your insides. So, either of those. And also the Campfire Punkrock EP.

Hey Dylan, remember that time at Summerfest we saw Public Enemy and I rapped all of Don't Believe the Hype? lolll

That was a huge realization when I got either this or Fear of a Black Planet back in high school: Flavor Flav was the greatest hype man in the business. And also can play some mean slap bass. "Cold Lampin" was the moment I realized that he is a great rapper in his own right. Chuck D was woke before woke was woke. Or something.

They really only had two great albums, but those two albums are this perfect combination of hip-as-fuck production, real revolutionary things to say and infectious energy. And this is the better of the two. So, yeah. I'm a pretty big fan of It Takes a Nation of Millions.

Much respect to PARTY. Dude was the frat bro bro we never had.

I miss Duke of Wales. I actually posted on his forum for a little while (don't worry, I was thinking about goiter thompson the whole time).

Also Terry and how Alex would tell him to shut the fuck up.

My friends aren't super Star Wars fans so they had no idea that Peter Cushing is long dead.

I'm just now rounding that turn. I'd say they did pretty fucking well if I never noticed.

I have an hour commute every day now, so after the holidays I had been thinking about bumping the album of the week thread.

That one was weirdly successful and consistent for us.

Yes, please.

Ducky, pick a danged movie before I pick it for us.
