Nexus 5 is a pretty dope ass phone

I bought one of these http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/the-air-dock

Won't get it for a while still, but looks p. sweet. Think my next purchase will be a Tylt. The only thing I envy from another phone is the Google Now capabilities that the Moto X has due to the dedicated speech core (or whatever) and the active lockscreen, also on the Moto X. Seems like if you want a new phone nowadays you should either be purchasing a Nexus, Moto X/G, or iPhone. I've heard the Droid MAXX's are good too if you're on Verizon. But why would you want to be on Verizon.

You guys...AM! released another good record...I'm so happy. It's like an old friend you used to love hanging out with, then totally changed and was a bit of a dick, and now he's back and you guys pick up like you never stopped being bros.

the show at turner was the most i've enjoyed a streetlight show of the 4 times i've seen them. i guess im not as "over it" as you guys are. i still love streetlight, a lot.

people that have been to shows on this leg/will be going: are they filming at all the stops? i saw at least 3 go pros being used last night.

It isn't hard to learn how to do easy stuff that can add a lot of subtle flair to your editing. Basically it's as hard as you make it.

http://www.videocopilot.net/tutorials/

Is what I used for tutorials. I can't remember if they have any "going over the basics" tuts so you might just have to youtube that or something, but these videos cover specific effect types, which you can learn then apply to things in your own way. Just don't be that guy that completely copies a Video Copilot tutorial verbatim.

e: Also yeah like dude said, if you have any prior experience with video editing software it'll take a HUGE amount of edge off the initial learning curve. I imagine going in blind to AE could be pretty daunting. I also started with Vegas.

just realized I have two tradeable copies of the Ship on steam, anyone want to trade me something for it?

edit: I now have a copy of Magicka and only one copy of the ship

You're better off just giving that to a friend you want to play with, it's worthless in a trade

I bought a Rodgers from jersey101 like 3 years ago (the site has now split into yukijersey and tarajersey) and it's fantastic.

http://www.tarajersey.com

Basically when ordering from these sites you know going in you're getting an insanely good deal, so you should expect a couple of abnormalities but really I've known a lot of people to order from sites like this and they are almost always completely satisfied with the product. The only really bad story I can think of is when someone put together an order of 10 jerseys and they got a couple of them mixed up. Don't remember which site it was they ordered from.

Crawl is tile-based but designed with some modern sensibilities in mind. (SA Thread)

Apart from that you'll have to look more into roguelikelikes/roguelites. If you like platformers, check out Spelunky(HD is coming to Steam this summer) or the newly-released Rogue Legacy. I'm sure you already play FTL(currently only $2.50(!!!)).

e: Forgot about Desktop Dungeons. Super quick and accessible. It's one of my favorites.

Thanks for the advice, I've played Crawl and it didn't really grab me.

Love FTL, and enjoyed Desktop Dungeons when I played it ages ago. Not a fan of the actiony-platformy stuff but I might try Spelunky when it drops.

Are there any modernized roguelikes like Dungeons of Dredmor but more serious? I don't want the forced humor.

I really like the idea of roguelikes but have no interest in playing an ASCII or tiled game. Dredmor is pretty great but I don't like some stuff so if there are any games like it I'd really like to try them out.

Anyone play Faster Than Light? I got it two days ago and I've already put 16 hours into it. Huge replay value.

This is a really great game but I wish it had even more roguelike-ness to it. More random items and encounters and shit. And no Boss/endgame. Fuck Bosses.

I can't afford to go to the NJ shows but I'm at least going to be hitting up a stop on the final tour. Goin to the Saturday show in Grand Rapids.

Friday I'm seeing Portugal The Man at the Pabst. Then July 6th Bongripper and Fister are playing Chicago.

Cool shows coming up.

1. Razor Fist, Subjugation, Kathogah, Anthropic, Absu
2. Absu. One of my favorite bands, first time they've been to Milwaukee since 1997. The drummer/vocalist Proscriptor McGovern puts on an amazing act.
3. Exhausting, fun, satisfying.
4. Absu put one one of the best shows that I've seen, I just love Proscriptor's on stage theatrics.

Well, I'm happy that 8-bit stuff exists, I looked for that stuff when I really liked 8-bit back in 2008 and it didn't exist.

Well that was five years ago and you just posted in 2013 so
