If you live with your parents, is it really "for a living"?

Honestly the fact that we all dont have mod powers is kind of asinine at this point. We are such a small community that it is obvious Dylan seriously does not remember how to make people mods; no joke. Cause we could all kind of take or leave this place at this point.

Fixed.

As far as games, I'm like, wildly obsessed with Splatoon 2. It's such a fun, posi and immersive shooter. I seriously can't stop playing it.

As a result, I'm like, bummed that I can't simultaneously play that and Zelda, because that game also freaking rules. I also think I still have like 10 characters to unlock in smash... because, again, Splatoon man.

I seriously feel like if I never got another game, it would still be totally worth it.

Then again, I haven't owned real video games in like a decade, so I'm pretty biased. I basically carry the eager authority of a 6 year old.

Honestly, I'm like, fucking in love with my switch, but I totally get that it isn't for everyone.

I almost got a PS4 because I really, really wanted to play Spider-Man and Red Dead, but ultimately the portability of the switch just made it work really well with my lifestyle.

When I get home from work, I like to sit on the couch with Brit, watch dumb TV and casually play video games. She doesn't want to watch me play games, so for the past like 3 years, I've basically played hearthstone exclusively.

Now, I get home from work, play on my TV for an hour, she gets home, I hit "pause", we eat dinner, then I grab it off the base, stick the joycons on the side, and pick up right where I left off. The battery lasts right until I'm ready for bed, I plug it in and repeat.

Hey, does anybody else have a Switch?

I bought my first "current gen" gaming system in like, 10 years. I'm kind of in love with it. Playing mad Splatoon, and Tetris 99. I've got Smash, Zelda and Starlink too and my biggest struggle is that I don't have enough time to play all my super dope games.

Just stopping by to say that I gave the Orville another shot per Chuck's recommendation, and it's pretty dope.

I think it got marketed really shitily as like "Seth McFarlane's hilarious new Family Guy Trek!", when in reality, it's a pretty straight forward love letter to Star Trek and the Twilight Zone, with like, a jigger of dumb Apatowy sense of humor.

Does anybody know what band Gang of Four Meets the Stooges (but boring) is about?

I wondered when Scrambles came out, but I never got an answer and this morning for no good reason, I started thinking about it again

I had a lot of fun with Bandersnatch, and ultimately really liked it.

I think the thing of it, is that your ultimate opinion sort of hinges on your first consecutive run through. I went back and played through to a lot of different endings, but ultimately the one I got on the first time was my favorite, and it was super fun to find my way to it with zero expectations.

Even then though, I think they do a really cool job of playing on a common theme across all the story lines, that even sort of gains something after you've played out different conclusions.

Also started watching American Horror Story. Honestly, not impressed by the first episode. It seemed kinda hokey. Maybe it'll get better, but I don't see why people loved it so much back in the day.

I never really got the hype. I think it was just sort of extra violent/disturbing compared to everything else that was on TV at the time, so it sort of mainstreamed mediocre horror for a minute.

Not sure who subtitled this thread "INDIANA", but I have a girl in my class named India who I'm like 75% sure doesn't realize it's a country and thinks she's named after our most parking lot of a state.

You guys, I've said for a while that Jeff always writes records that don't really click with me right now, but are super important to me in like a year.

Now I'm realizing I like but don't love Craig of the Creek, but that's because I'm on the brink of having kids.

Weird.

I'm maybe like halfway through Craig of the Creek.

At first, I was into it because the score is basically just BTMI instrumentals, but I ended up actually really liking it as a cartoon. It reminds me of Recess...and I loved Recess.

But yeah, there aren't many musicians that I like with such a distinct and immediately recognizable style. There are all these like, quite, low key spots in the show, with characters just having a conversation, then the background is this chilled out jam ska with a synth running the melody, and I'm all like "yeah...get it Jeff"

Does anyone else have moviepass? It's been completely imploding. I don't know if they're even gonna make it through the week. I don't use it enough to be affected so far, but if I can't go see a good movie tomorrow without paying extra I'm canceling.

Dude, same.

Yeah we've had it for almost a year and use it at least 4 times a month. Especially this summer, we've been using it a ton, but this weekend we literally couldn't see anything without surge pricing, and mission impossible we couldn't see at all.

If we can't go tonight, we're done.
