Who's still here? Who's died? What's everyone been up to?

How does it make your life any more difficult to google and read about something? Do you get pissed off when anyone uses a word you don't know, or just when it makes getting in their pants slightly more complicated than sticking to a gender/sexuality binary?

The problem with an expansive lexicon is if you're not using it with someone who has the same level of vocabulary as you, there's going to be a break down in communication.

I mean believe it exists or don't, whatever, but the thing is-- we've ALREADY been talking about it for a page or two just to figure out what it means.

So I guess I'm saying, it doesn't really seem like someone's sexuality CAN be easily explained with just that one word.

I totally agree that some people's sexuality can't be explained in one word. But something like asexuality or demisexuality is at least a better descriptor for some people than the hetero/homo dichotomy that is prominent in our culture.

Language is constantly evolving, so these other sexualities that are becoming more commonly used should be welcomed. They're making some people's lives more comfortable to live, without being detrimental to others.

I can assure you, demisexuality is a thing. Honestly, split the shit out of sexuality types, why not? If it makes people accept who they are more fully, and are able to explain their sexuality with one word, what's the problem? Except for sapiosexuality, that's a bunch of bullshit ("I'm only attracted to people who are smart! And who read books! And anyone that has mental disorders isn't attractive!").

Taken From Silence is a surrealist horror flick filmed on a practically non-existent budget with a crew of five. Starring me, soundtrack by me, co-written, co-directed, etc by me

this is a rough teaser trailer, more to come. let me know what you think?

How much do people want to broaden their horizons? I don't want to accidentally throw out a suggestion that everyone completely hates and there is no discussion other than "this sucks".

My partner and I are going to Baltimore for Maryland Deathfest in May and are trying to find someone to stay with so we don't have to shell out for a hotel. We will gladly give you money/beer/etc

When I said I missed the hell out of some of you, you two were the main people that was directed to, just sayin

Glad things are going well for both of you! Steve, keep an eye out for weird cassette tapes that come into Goodwill for me, I frequent the ones around here for that kind of thing. Especially experimental stuff and 80s/90s synthpop and death metal. I will pay you extra

Reluctantly started playing GTA V a few weeks ago on my brother's PS4. I can honestly say I haven't had that much fun with a big-budget title in years. Forty hours in, we beat the main game and are still enjoying the side stuff. Interesting storyline, well-written dialogue, varied and entertaining gameplay.

It's my first GTA game because I kept on writing off the series as shitty and damn it's good

I am 5'9" and 180 pounds. I eat burritos every day and smoke many more cigarettes than I should

I am in peak physical condition and there's nothing you can say to dissuade me from believing that

This sounds like less of a tabletop game that you spend money on, and more of a game that you could easily fashion out of scraps of paperl

Re-Animator was good! I liked the score a lot.

This is one of my favorite movies

Just watched the extended cuts of the Millenium trilogy, they were pretty good. They really should have kept the original book's title for the US release of the book/movie. Men Who Hate Women is a much better title than The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. It conveys the plot focus much clearer

I've seen the majority of these and I'd put only the Kubrick flicks and Fargo in my top 100

Schindler's List can suck me

Hey so it's the five-year anniversary of the restaurant I work at

I don't know why I'm back here but I miss the hell out of some of you. Life's been ridiculous and I'm way happy lately. I have 5 music projects in the works, including two duos and one three-piece, and have also started a production company. I'm starring in, cowriting, and soundtracking a surrealist horror movie, coproducing an NH slice-of-life stoner-comedy-turns-existentialist flick, and beginning to cowrite a supernatural horror/comedy web series.

How have things been with all of you? How has this place been, what have I missed, who sucks these days?

speaking of secret santa, how's it going bones?
does bones still come here?

yo sorry about being a shitty secret santa. i became kinda homeless for a bit and am now piecing life back together. i'm glad Dylan was able to fix everything. my apologies again

Not for a while. Well-intentioned dude, but a bit.....conflicted? Flakey seems inaccurate.

Also, Alex wins the secret santa. Even though mine was sweet.

conflicted is a good word, i guess. life is crazy and weird and terrifying and i'm very very bad at it lately. partially due to uncontrollable outside circumstances, partially due to stupid decisions made by me

i'm working on it tho

Been digging the demo for Bravely Default. It's nothing super special and unique, but it's fun old-school JRPGing. Also been filling the void with Fatal Labyrinth on Genesis. It's a fun, sorta light, still hard-as-hell roguelike that's helping me introduce my brother to the genre.

In other DS-related news, I still haven't played Radiant Historia and I'm kicking myself for not buying it when I could afford videogames.

Also, Mighty Switch Force isn't as good as I expected it to be.
